We are pleased to announce that the Lou-Rich Front Street facility completed another OSHA MNSHARP Recertification Audit and will be recommended to the Commissioner of the MN Department of Labor & Industry for a three-year renewal in the program.
“The Minnesota Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (MNSHARP) recognizes companies whose managers and employees work together to develop safety programs that go beyond basic compliance of OSHA standards” (MN Department of Labor and Industry). There is an extensive process to be certified as a MNSHARP worksite. Some of these requirements include a 3-day audit, a review of safety policies, facility inspections, and employee interviews.
Innovance, the holding company for Lou-Rich is proud to have four of our manufacturing facilities listed as MNSHARP worksites. Lou-Rich accounts for three of the four total Innovance facilities that are MNSHARP certified. There are only thirty-five worksites certified in the entire state of Minnesota, which makes this a great accomplishment. In addition to being recognized by the state, being part of the MNSHARP program has made our facilities safer for our employee-owners and has also led to fewer workplace injuries.
