In April I shared what we were doing to protect ourselves from the spread of COVID-19 and that we had seen minimal impact to our customers and orders were strong. Well, things change. We are seeing a slow down with our customers as orders are getting pushed out or in some instances even cancelled. We are making some adjustments with our staffing to accommodate. WHEN things turn around, we will have people to meet our customers’ needs. Here at Lou-Rich we serve customers in several market segments. Not all them are feeling the effects equally. So, that diversity in markets and customers has helped us weather the changes better than others.
Our quoting activity has been brisk during this time. Our customers are continuing to look at new product development and how we can support their needs. These are some really new and exciting projects that we hope to start seeing later this year and next.
We have reached out to our customers to ask them how we can help. Some of our customers have seen disruptions in their supply chain. They may have sourced materials overseas that has limited their supply or even worked with a domestic supplier that has gone under or had significant reductions in their labor force. We have overall been fortunate. So, is there anything we can do to help you to simplify your supply chain? We are here to help!
