I hope this message finds you well as we wrap up Q2 here at Lou-Rich. It’s been a busy Quarter, filled with growth, new opportunities, and exciting developments. I wanted to share some updates and achievements from our team.
Sales Update
I’m happy to report that we’ve had a solid first 6 months at Lou-Rich. Despite the whispers of a potential economic downturn, we have maintained strong momentum. Our sales outlook continues to look bright, as we have had many new opportunities come into our project pipeline both from our existing long-term customer base and from new companies as well.
Utilization of Additional North Plant Space
We successfully relocated our sister company, Panels Plus, from the Lou-Rich North Plant. This has opened up approximately 30,000 square feet within our 55,000 square feet facility. Our vision for this space goes beyond its current utilization as a warehousing space. We are transforming this area into additional manufacturing space. To kickstart this transformation, we will add a tube laser cutting system and we will also create some high-level assembly cells. This will help streamline production and help us to continue meeting the growing demands of our customers. This expansion will help fuel our future growth.
Employee Owner Update: Summer Hours
We understand the significance of finding a healthy work-life balance, which is why we’ve introduced a summer hour trial this year for our support staff to encourage them to recharge and enjoy the warm summer weather and some additional quality time with loved ones.
The summer hour trial runs from Memorial Day till Labor Day. Employee-owners have been adjusting their schedules to complete their hours earlier in the week, allowing them to enjoy half days off on Fridays. This means that most Lou-Rich employees will be out of the office on Friday afternoons. It’s a logical move, considering that many of our production team members have already been benefiting from four 10-hour workdays and enjoying Fridays off.
GE HealthCare Global Supplier Summit
Recently, I had the pleasure of attending the GE HealthCare Global Supplier Summit in Milwaukee, WI, alongside Greg Thomas, our Sales & Marketing Director at Innovance. It was a two-day event that brought together key suppliers like us to deepen our understanding of GE HealthCare’s strategies and operations. Since its spin-off from the rest of GE in January, GE HealthCare has put a lot of effort into recognizing the critical role of its supply chain in achieving its goals.
In closing, I want to express my gratitude for your continued support and trust in Lou-Rich. As we move into the second half of the year, we’re excited about the future and the possibilities it holds.
