Recently installed at our Albert Lea North facility is a 16’W x 40’L x 10’H wash booth and paint pretreatment system. This new capability allows us to have a high-quality final paint finish, with great paint adhesion, on our large weldments. The pretreatment system is a wand wash pressure washer that heats the pretreatment to 150 degrees Fahrenheit with a 540,00 BTU heater. The system then applies the pretreatment at 1500psi. The pretreatment is an iron phosphate conversion coating, that cleans and coats product in one step in preparation for paint. The booth features all LED lighting and large 8,000 cfm exhaust fan to keep the wash space visibility clear.
